^ does it need to be reprogrammed? Aren't they the same ECU for both auto and manual or do they have different A/F tables?

They are different, dont know how but I do know they are. I am not to much up on what is in a ecu or all that stuff. I know what works and what dont work. Yes it will need to be chipped to change it to a manual from a automatic ecu.

you can have the P06 chipped. No Honda will not touch anything like that.

ok now i ran into another problem.... my civic that is show on my signature is getting the tranny converted to 5 speed which got the p28 ecu, i probably just get it reprogrammed.... but the problem is my other civic, i looked at my other civic ( theyre both 95 ex .... ej1 ) and the ecu has been replaced with a p06 dx ecu, is it gonna hurt it????

oh yeah and marty, if i reprogrammed the p06... how am i reprogramming it? like should i reprogram it like a p28??

P06 is a non-vtec ecu...can be chipped to be just like the p28...so if it is chipped you might have a p28 equivalent there

actually you dont have to chip to convert to manual..........http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin/view/...egraAutoManual my po6 had the same thing done without touching anything but r18/r17......worked like a charm.
