P2P or P28?

so whats the difference? my civic is 94 dx doing a y8 swap, which ecu would be best...P2P or P28? would i need to change the whole wiring harness too or can i just add new wires just for the vtec?

you want the obd1 p28 the p2p is obd2 so unless u get a a obd1 to obd2 jummper harness and that would be kinda pointless u cant use the p2p

i'm hearing i should go with the p28 and hondata or uderdata. whats the difference? i might just leave it a virgin p28.

I suggest a p28, it dont take mods better there are just alot more options with tuning with it.

Could he not just keep his d15s ecu? It's already obd 1, and could be tuned fine with Uberdata/Hondata/etc. No?

but he is doing a mini me and I see no point in sending or taking your ecu to be chipped just to have vtec. Get the p28 and run it with that and then you can send the d15 ecu off to be chipped if you plan on boosting/building or whatever.

If he could do the work himself or has a friend that could (and had access to the needed tools, including a computer), it would be much cheaper to chip the d15 ecu. Using freeware like uberdata, that is.

(I'm cheap as hell btw. I won't pay 150 for some stock ecu.)
