RE: plugs and wires
i got denso iridium plugs and using stock wires. i had nuespeed wires but they were fried in like 2 days. manufacturer defect they tell me. it arced through the plastic. they don't really help much but modding cars is all about bits and pieces of power gains. a little here, a little there...

RE: plugs and wires
yeah, its not much, but if your car is highly modified (read: forced induction or VERY high compression.) then a good ignition system is critical, but on a normal car, it wont add any power except where the stock system is aging. if you have good stock plugs and wires, then it wont help. ive actually seen tests and talked to reputable tuners who say aftermarket wires can actually hurt the power on otherwise mostly stock civics.

RE: plugs and wires
Bosch Double Platinum (Platinum2) plugs are about as good as it gets (the Platinum+4 plugs are a waste of money for no change in performance). I put Platinum2's and Bosch Premium wires on a 2G GSX, and there was a HUGE difference in pickup and rev response.
