Sensor 02

a mechanic said i need a sensor 02. and it cost around 160 or more. does anyone knows where i could find it for cheap.. what is sensor 02? what does it do?

it detects the amount of unburnt oxygen in your exhaust and adjusts the amount of fuel into you engine to get better fuel economy and power. i think most parts places will have them for a little cheaper than that though.

There are 2 O2 sensors for your car. There is one before the c. converter and one after. The one before goes into your header. Depending on what type of civic you have that part might be a little costly. I replaced my with an OE Bosch from Napa for about $100. If you have an EX like me, most places will supply you with a universal.
