Superchips on an LSi

Superchips on an LSi
Guys, my civic is a UK LSi spec. I am not sure what this is in the USA but its got a 1.5 16v non VTEC engine. I am thinking of having this superchipped. Have any of you had your 1.5's chipped and did it make a huge diff to the BHP / performance??

RE: Superchips on an LSi
It doesnt matter what engine it is... upgrading your ECU is one of the best mods you can do. It basically remaps everything... air/fuel ratio, fuel mapping, redline, delete speed governors and more. It lets your car run to its maximum potential.

RE: Superchips on an LSi
going by the superchips website the 1.5LSi will benefit from a 6bhp increase for £293. however, my car (hyundai coupe 2.0) claims only a 7bhp gain but when fitted with an exhaust system and CAI i got closer to 15. the car felt a lot smoother and more responsive but i have since had the superchip removed as their are better ones on the market, such as the dastec unichip. this one is fully remappable and controls timing and fuel curves, the superchip only does timing. another alternative is the apexi V-AFC. im now running the S-AFC II and cant complain, but it only does fuel/air rations and not timing.
UNICHIP - Dastek unichip
Apexi VAFC - apexi V-AFC II

hope that helps!
