Default VTEC controller.

Can some one please describe to me in detail what a vtec controller really is, and what it really does. I read some **** on ebay about it, and far as I can understand you can control your fuel/air mixture, and set the vtec at desired RPM. Would you need this controller on an engine with after market injectors?

Default RE: VTEC controller.

yeah, thats pretty much it. it should work fine with AM injectors. check out the Jackson Racing one. from what ive heard, when you change the vtec changeover point, it accesses the fuel map for the appropriate cam profile, and moves it along with the changeover. so when you move the vtec point down, it takes the high cam A/F ratios and applies them to the places in between the old point and the new point, to keep them optimized for the profile its using at the time, w/o having to figure them out for yourself.
