when doing a mini-me swap of a z6 head on a d15 block y do i have to change my ecu to a p28??, i noe the air/fuel rations change, i noe u have 2 use the ecu that goes for ur head, but wouldnt it effect the pistons in anyway?

what? How would it affect the pistons?

You need a VTEC ecu if you're going to put a VTEC head on your motor.

yes, you will ahve all the VTEC parts, but with your stock non-VTEC ecu your car doesnt even know what VTEC is. You need the new ECU to tell your car you have VTEC and when to kick it in. Its the brains behind the whole thing.

But i dont think swapping heads affects the pistons at all.

yea i understand that, i jus wanted to know , since its gunna give out a 11:1 comression ratio, wouldnt that be high for the pistons

couldnt tell ya, but it seems like alot of people have swapped a z6 head onto your d15 block before and i havent really heard of anyone else having compression problems

Just run 91/93 octane on the P28 ECU and retard your ignition timing manually a bit.
