why not use hondata?

i plan on boosting a b16 motor in the future at 6psi on stock internals.... someone told me its better not to use hondata s300 on an engine thats only at 6psi, why is this?

because it's expensive, that's probably the reason...
who told you that? why don't you ask them what their reason was??

ok so i guess crome or uberdata would be a little better in my range then ?

just like mxs said, get a chipped p28 and have your tuner burn a basemap on your chip. then put the chip in your ecu, dont hit boost on the basemap. wait until you get it tuned and then you will be able to hit full boost.

some tuning shopsmight have that service available but i sent my ecu to these guys and their service was awesome.

wait, if i have an obd1 do i still have to get my ecu chipped, cause the b16 motor i plan to get is obd1
