the engine is in but i have a problem....The car starts up and idels find then after 2 or 3 mins it starts surgeron for like pwoer...idles high then low...high then low..........back forth like it si surgeon for power.


anyone know what it is

 

idle air control or possibly the fast idle tandem valve. maybe even low coolant level or air in the cooling system. personally id check the first 2 sensors i mentioned.

 

my car did that when i didn't have the coolant line connected to the throttle body

 

My Ex boyfriend just did a B18A1 Dual over head Vtec swap to his 88' CRX him and his dad did it and they had a problems. They hooked up the vacum lines wrong... and it was idoling like that... So check and reconnect your vacum lines... Now it runs fine
