i got a 1990 honda si. the engine (D16A6) is stock (1.6 L 16 V SOHC,108hp @ 6000rpm). I would like to keep it in and upgrade,but naw. I wanna swap my engine for a better engine and i\'ve heard alot options. The problem is I don\'t wanna have to add mounts and all the other bs when i can just drop something in. So whats my best options far as engines? if possible can you also add engine stats(liter,single or double or v-tech,valves,and horsepower and torque). thanks

Well. If you don't want to change your mounts you will be looking at a D series swap. The ZC swaps are the one of the best people do. You can get a SOHC ZC with vtec putting you at about 130 hp. Or you can go for a DOHC ZC (no vtec) and you will be at 130 hp.

Another option you have is Mini-me swap. thats where you just swap the head off of another engine and that can give you vtec plus give you some extra horsies.

I agree with hailchristian, but i would say do a mini me swap. I have seen some pretty good numbers from a decently built mini me.

Thats what i got. all i would suggest is you buy one from a dealer with a warantee because i bought mine off craigs list and it has kicked my ***. warped head and block the engine was missing half the parts which are a pain in the *** to track down. biggest problem was he put the wrong crank gear on there so i had to drack that part down after i took the car to the mechanic and paid them 300 bux to tell me that it had the wrong crank gear.

So. I would get one of hmotorsonline or some other dealer that has a warnatee/garentee.
