I own a 1990 honda civic si(hatchback). Everything is stock(engine - D16A6,1.6 L,16 V,SOHC,108@6000rpm,4 Speed Transmission). I wanna swap out the engine now and do the transmission later. So what\'s the best engine for a simple drop in and drive? My friend give me opinions,but none own hondas or acuras. If possible can you leave engine stats. thanks

p.s. i want to add a turbo also

 

D series are pretty easy swaps, B series are next hardest in line, then H, then K. Do a compresson test, read all the stickies of the Nitrous, Turbo, S/C section here on HCF, and then research some more. By just throwing that last P.S. on there just seems to show you don't have much extensive research on the topic, but you just gotta start reading and learn as much as you can, then you'll know some horsepower goals, what turbo you wanna run, how much PSI, etc.
