hey guys. I recently got a new hatch with a B16A Block and GSR head. It has a full Apexi exhaust with stock headers. I was wondering what would be a good but affordable kind to swap in?

 

Whta is wrong with the current motor??? Truthfully right now I am running a DOHC ZC in my DX hatch, and I am planning on doing a GSR swap when i get back to the states. The only reason is, I know of a couple of people who have taken bone stock GSR units and turbo'd them and are running over 350hp. You are not going to want a whole lot more than that on a street driven FWD car. If there is nothing wrong with the motor that is in there now, I would leave it alone, but that is just me.

 

the only thing really better than what you have is either a b18c5 or a k-series motor

 

the gsr head is great for turbos, its cams are supposed to be relly good for boost, and it has lower compression that the b16 head.

 

In my first post i mistakenly posted that i have a B16A Block when in all actuallity i have a B18A Block. If i decide to turbo would i be alright as far as compression ?

 

As long as youve got a good tune and keep the boost at a lower level youll be fine.

 

what do you think the possibilities are for quarter mile times and whp?
