i was wondering if a ecu for a 95 five cx would work for a 97 dx motor

 

no. not without a wiring harness adapter. and that would cost more than a new 97 dx ecu.

 

just convert the 97 motor to obd1 and use your stock cx ecu

how would i do that and are the whiring harnesses the same

 

you will need to use your obd1 engine wiring harness from your cx. you will need to take your intake manifold and put it on the 97 motor. you will need to take your obd1 distributor and put it on the 97 motor. you will need to take your obd1 injectors and put it on the 97 motor. if you wanna use the 97 injectors, you will have to cut the plugs off the obd1 harness and put the 97 injector plugs to replace the ones you cut. you will need to take your exhaust manifold from the cx and put it on the 97 motor. thank you and have a nice day

I would get an intake manifold from at least a dx (92-95) or preferably an ex or sohc Si. your cx manifold will cost you a lot of power.

 

i was thinking that to the throtle body is tiny

 

will the ex or si intake manifold work with the cx wiring harness and wich intake manifold gasket would i use
