b16a vs b18c is it worth it

GSR B18C swap, lower compression, extra displacement. If you want to dig in a little more use a B16 head and intake manifoldon a B18C gsr engine. Then get a set of CTR B16B cams and you got a nice setup.

I am gonna tell you guys right now I don't really know a whole lot about cars but I am going to learn.
One thing I am sure of is that I want an engine swap. Sooooo... About this whole b16 with turbo...
Anyone know any sites that would be selling a nice b16 for kinda cheap?
Or maybe what car to look under at advance auto parts for a niceb16? (I work there. Yay discount!)

i have read a lot of dissing on the b16a but the numbers i got was a b16a with 170hp 113tq for $2250 for a complete changeover and a b18c with 180hp and 126tq for $3149 for the complete change over so i'm curious if it is worth the extra $900 to get that extra 10 hp and 13 tq or if it would be better to get the b16 and drop the $900 in to say full exhaust and intake

well the thing with the b16 is, its a higth hp motor, but low torque, if ur tight on money go with the ls its 145 hp but with 127 lbs torque, more than the gsr!!!, its also same price or cheaper then the b16 and its a great motor for boost

However, the b18c will always have more potential. You could open the b16 to 1.8L, but you could open the b18c to 2.0L.
More displacement will always have a better advantage in the modifications department. It's up to the person doing the swap to know what they want and the best way to achieve their goals.
