Best Hybrid EG Coupe?

Best Hybrid EG Coupe?
Starting this summer, I will begin a ground-up rebuild on a 1994-1997 Mazda Miata. The car will be entirely rebuilt with all new, high-performance parts and a great deal of custom work all around. I have been considering a second project as more of a daily-driver car. I have read all over the place, of people swapping in K-Series motors into their EG's; maybe a motor swapped EG Coupe, with some extra mods to make a BMW M3 Beater!
I am asking your opinions; I want to do a motor swap into an EG Coupe, but don't know which motor. Simplicity is bliss for me; I want a motor to run smooth and powerful. I don't want an excess of computers and wiring; just the necessary stuff to complete a good motor swap. I heard of swaps using B18, H22, K20 and K24. I don't know though. I have been thinking of the K24 for the bigger displacement, it will run a bit smoother. Whatever engine I choose, I will perform a complete overhaul and do some internal work. I have also been thinking of an IRTB setup on whatever engine I choose. Oh yeah, I want a 6-Speed manual transmission too...does that limit my engine options with the above mentioned engines?

I wasn't sure, but I though only the K-Series motors were available with 6-Speed transmissions. I guess it is settled then; K24 it shall be. I wonder what types of internal modifications will be most desirable. Maybe an increased compression. Are stroker kits available on a K24? Does anyone know of a Honda engine building company. In the case of Miatas, one can send their engine block and head to a company like Flyin' Miata, who will completly overhaul the engine. However, their overhaul isn't simply a rebuild. You select upgraded components such as pistons, stroker kits, compression boosts, etc. here is the link...Flyin' Miata: Engine Quote Calculator Is there such a company for Honda motors?

if you want simplicity, then you might reconsider the K-series swap. its definetaly the best motor, but its far from a simple swap. the wiring is complicated, the mounts are complicated, the shifter is complicated, everything is expensive. but regardless, whatever motor you decide to put in it, the only shop i would let build mine is Comptech. If youre interested, i can arrange it for you, as they happen to be local for me, and I have an account there.

So far, I am leaning toward the K24. It will be stronger, smoother and have a 6-speed. I will use the K24 block and ground-up build a very high-performance engine. Wiseco pistons, 11:1 compression, maybe a stroker kit that bores the engine to 2.6+ litres. There is a company in the UK that builds some extreme K-Series motors, check this out...ClockWiseMotion. Does anyone know of any available stroker kits for K24's? Also, apparently there are multiple K20's and K24's. Is there a difference in the blocks, or is it all componet differences?
