head warrpage?

Default head warrpage?

i got a 92 cx hatch and it had stock d15b8 and a y8 head. the motor blew so i got a y7 block and i need to know how i can tell if the head is warped or not.

Get a good straightedge (emphasis on good) and lay it across the head (obviously have the head on a bench laying upside-down) diagonally both directions and look underneath it. If you see more than a tiny bit of light coming through underneath the straightedge it's slightly warped. I don't know what the maximum allowable tolerance is for d-series heads, but I'd guess it's somewhere in the .009-.011" range.
