Ok that's good. Which would be better the b16 or 18? I'm not trying to be the fastest but have the power when needed.

a b18 with a b16 head!
use google, youtube, and our search bar to figure out whats best for YOU!!!! YOU!!!!
we cant tell you how you drive, if you like turbos, how much money your gunna drop, or anything else that needs to be taken into consideration. but for straight power to cost ratio either a b20 or a b18 with a b16 head with either an LS or b16 tranny and get a good ecu!

he's gunna hafta change it anyways.
the ls trany would cost less and be able to withhold any n/a b series power plant bolted to it.
i mean if he can get a b16 with the trans attachted for a good price and he doesnt wanna make over 200 hp, just swap it all. but an ls bottom end trany combo swap with a b16 head is the way i would go when it comes to b series, coming from a poor kid with a d series minime. lol
its allll about the dollar.
