Posting this one seperate than wire harness cuz seperate question. hoping between my posts someone will respond.. have been asking on board and reading through old posts and including the write up on jdmuniverse.. but no one on here has gave any detail to thier personal swap.. wondering if anyone else has done MINI me and if they had all same probs that are listed on JDMUNIVERSE.. anyone care to share thier experience please ?.. would have to reread through the 13 pages on the write up on JDM.. but mainly was referring to knock sensor and running the cables into ECU harness.. how does a person install the knock sensor? drill into the block to install? and any location or is there some diagram in a manual that i missed somewhere.. plus cant the ecu harness be replaced to avoid having to just rig up some cables for iacv and vtec just by finding non used cables to tap off of?

i recently did this swap only my civic was an ex to begin with.
i couldnt find an ex motor so i got a 98 dx motor and 00 ex head and slapped them together.
from what i understand on your car this is the basic procedure i believe:
1.swap head and intake mani for ex
2.get an ex ecu
3.run the vtec wire (not sure which pin on ecu) probably be able to find out at jdm
4.my dx block had the spot already there for the knock sensor(if its the one right underneath the intake mani) i just had to go find the sensor
thats all i know
whether thats accurate for your swap not 100%

wats up fellas can any one out there that has done a mini-me swap come out from under the car and share with us how this new adventure has been to them. please dont leave nothing out, with there mini-me. how has it been on gas and reliability, come help us wondering throw life wanting to learn but not having a direction where to turn, who was the wise guy that came up with the name mini-me? anyway, thankyou all, you been real helpful.
