sorry if this has already been talked about but i was wondering which b series motor would be best to just build and run with out boost. its goin in my dd and i want something reliable with good power but dont want to mess with a turbo set up i will have around five to six grand to do the swap then maybe more extreme cams, js racing carbon intake and header so i what motor would be best and what kind of power could i expect with just those mods (it goin in a 97 hx) thanks!

 

hmm. 5-6 grand gives you a lot of options. I dont know why youd hide from turbos thou.....for that money you could run a turbo b series motor and make some real power............or just get a b18c1 or C5 and throw some cams in it and bolt ons.

I have a JDM B18c for sale! It has a 3/4 inch bdl fuel rail on it and nology plug wires, the motor has about 45000 miles on it. it came out of my 1996 HX it is complete with an SIRII tranny and shift linkage i will let it go for $3500.
