Default B16 SiRIII???

Can anyone tell me why this is so cheap.. Only 2k .. seems like a steal for being a type r.. and looks to be whole package
http://www.sunrisejdmmotors.com/honda.php

Sent them an email... hopefully get some info back by Monday.. no listing for hours that i seen.. so dunno if they are open on Saturday

Alright got email back quick.. 2300 with LSD.. this is for type r 175 hp JDM B16A SiR III.. still seems super cheap Way better option now than trying to rebuild D16y7 or even Mini ME for this cost

Yeah, that's a great price, but that's not a type-r. The type-r is the B16B, but still a sweet deal on a sweet motor.

I am not one to ususally advocate swaps, but if you have the money go fot it.

Don't forget installation. That motor isn't gonna do you any good sitting on a pallet in your garage.

its a jdm si motor (not exactly, but thats the easiest way to explain it) its basically the same, with higher compression, and i think the cams might be a little bit more aggressive.

So you think its doesnt push the extra 15 hp over stock us SI model? .. im not sure why there is an R at the end of the Si unless they put it there cuz of type r cam? but was assuming III means 3rd gen motor

The SIR in Japan = the SI here. No it does not push 175hp, hell to tell the truth the only 2 engines they got the hp ratings correct on are the D15B and the H22. I am not saying they are not worth it but just stating a observation.
