civic sedan to swap in HX motor?
hi has anyone swapped out a HX motor in any civic sedans? are they direct bolt on/swap?
reason i ask is, i like the HX motor and characteristics of having the best MPG from factory... but i know the civic HX's didn't come in a sedan...?
i'd like the extra room/2 doors in the back but with the same great MPG qualities as an HX!

I have a 98 Hx, swap out the D16Y5 for a B18b. You will need D16Y5 ECU and harness, these are a must. The Hx motor has a 5 wire O2 sensor and and EGR valve. Non of the other 96-00 civic have those and it is a pain in the butt to wire all that in. I pulled the Hx harness for a Lx harness because of all the extra crap I needed to rewire. If your car is an auto trans then you also need the Hx CVT trans and auto ECU and harness. Not a hard swap at all. I sold my D17Y5 to a guy that was putting it in a Civic he was selling. Sold in axles, trans, harness, ecu and motor, drop in turn key swap.
