would it be easier and cheaper to do a mini-me swap or just swap the whole d16y8 engine in? just a question ive been asking myself. and might want to do.

it depends on your expiriance with engines. if you have a whole y8 in good running condition and can swap it then yes do that, and you will have no worries about parts and getting everthing done right. if you plan on reworking the head, then do the mini me swap becasue the head will be off, so it makes more sense becasue all the parts like gaskets, and belts will be changed.

swapping is easier because there is no interanl engine work, but mini me is better if you plan on doing internal modifications at the same time
but regardless of which way you go you still need to wire in vtec and stuff like that
