Hey i've been looking at alot of options for my 97 2dr civic. Money is tight now so my projects on hold till my funds start to role in again. Till then its all research...
I saw a 96-98 civic just like mine with a F20a swap on ebay or somethin a few days ago
I lookied into it and an F20a swap is pretty resonable price/power wise compared to other swaps....
What i was wondering was could i bold a F20a FWD tranny to a F20c?????
The F20c is the high rev'in powerhouse of the S2000(also comes w/forged internals right from honda).... but the s2000 is RWD.....
So i was hoping if someone knew weather the F20c and F20a parts are interchangeable....
or if they were VERY different engines alltogether.
If a F20a tranny did fit on a F20c.... i'd love to throw it in my civic and eventually boost it.
Or.... could i fit a F20c head on a F20a block and get close to the F20c's power? Could it then Rev as high after some forged pistons and rods, and a balace and blueprint???
From the info i've gathered myself... most series of engines can seem to interchange patrs....d's... b's....H's.... but F's????
I'd apreciate any input on the subject cuz its been runnin threw my mind for the past couple days....
i wanna F20c in my civic.... with like 10-15lbs of boost from 5,000rpms all the way to 10 baby!
Impossible??? stupid???? let me know!

 

Hey sorry i think i was meaning to talk about the Accord SiR-T(Type-R) F20B engine... not the f20a......
i wanted to know if the f20b tranny would fit on a F20c....
Or if the F20c head would fit on a F20b block......
