Default K20 or H22a Swap into a 99 DX Hatch

I just got a 1999 DX Hatch that is in great shape, the only problem is the 100hp motor is slow as *****. How much would a K20 vs an H22a cost me? Are they street legal to swap? Which is easier to swap?

I am not mechanically inclined enough to do the swap myself, how much will a shop charge me to do the swap? I live in Bluefield, WV and don't know of too many places around here that will do it.

Im not sure about H22s but a K20 swap can run you anywhere from 8k-10k. K20 swap is more powerful of course.

What about getting one off the internet and getting someone to install one around here? I have seen them on the internet for around $4000, how much do you think the install would be?

Also, when buying one, do I need any adapters, clips, new transmission, etc?

You will also need half shafts, adapted wiring harness, mounting kit from hasport, upgraded fuel pump, shift linkage and so on and so on. You'll have alot on money in the little extras. I know the mounting kit from hasport is like 400-600 dollars. So i would have at least 6000 for parts plus your install. I'd say 1500 to 2000 for your install. But it's all according to who you take it too.

The K20 swap itself is around $5500 then there are around $2500 in extra parts to get it to fit a ek chassis, then if you dont install it your self around $1000 labor. The H22 will cost you around $2600 to $2900 to get it in your car and to me is the next best thing to a K20.

i would look into the b18 it lighter than the h22 and you would be able to still take corners

iwould go with the B18C1(GS-R) or u can go wit B18C5(TYPE-R)...plus compression is low, better to turbo out!
