hey recently my timing belt stretched you know the outcome.
i had a d16y8.
i picked up a good d16y7 and good y8 head put them together w/ new gaskets i have only two problems.
one i have a wire on the back of the engine coming out of the harness w/ two other ones one is the crank pos. sensor its hooked up fine the other is the block temp sensor its hooke up fine. the one i cant figure out is a single red wire its pretty short the plug is round and has space for two prongs but its a single wire like i said.
the other is on the very top back of the intake mani. that sensor has a spot for a vaccuum line pointing straight down. i have the line it has a plastic piece on the end like it pops into a rubber fitting. cant figure out where.
also theres a tube running from the thermostat to the coolant pump theres a space on there for a line cant figure it out.
please help. need to get to work.

 

it's a knock sensor, the Y7 block does not have a place for a knock sensor while the Y8 does. Just take the sensor out of your old block, hook it up, and fasten it to your firewall in a out of the way place

 

Hey i was wonderin if you knew some sites where i can find a head because i am going to do a vtech head swap on my stalk honda civic Dx do you think going with a vtech is the best to go with for more power or do you recomend somthin else

you can check out houston imports.com some guy is selling his D16Z6 complete head for 120. or u can go ebay style like alot of people.
