ok guys im gunna be honest right away. im a motor head but i dont really know anything about the honda swaps. my buddy has a 1999 civic race car with a blown 1.5 sohc non vtec. we are looking so swap in a 1.5 vtec (found one cheap) or a f22a1. how hard would these swaps be? both have the wiring harnesses and transmissions. all are manual trans. any input would be great. like i said its for a race car so all we need it to do is run. not worried about much of anything else. we are trying to set this car up on a budget so.....thanks alot

a 99 civic should have a d16y7 (1.6 non vtec) or a d16y8 (1.6 vtec) or the si has the b16. getting a d16y7 or a d16y8 which belongs in the car would be the easiest swap.
since its already obd2
