RE: SWAP HELP !!
I did the same swap as you did now you need either a b16a2 engine out of a 99 civic si or you need a second generation b16 from japan - which is more than likely what you will get. You have to get the second generation with the hydraulic tranny because thats what you currently have the first generation is a cable clutch which you would have to convert and it would be easier and the same price to just get the second generation engine. You will need it to come with an ecu, shift linkage - yours will not fit, axles - yours will not work, transmission. The mounts might be the same however sometimes the drivers side motor mount is not the two studs it has a third in that case you would need to change it out and some swaps the rear bracket wont line up however mine did. This is not a hard swap but it can be time consuming especially if you dont get the needed parts before hand. You need to change your wiring harness, I suggest sending both the wiring harness from the engine and the wiring harness from your car to rywire they re wired mine for a decent price and it started up without a check engine light. This might be a good time to change out your bad motor mounts. I would also suggest highly that you change the clutch, resurface the flywheel, change timing belt water pump spark plugs and wires and distributor cap and rotor. I did all of those except the clutch and flywheel and a few months later now I have to change mine and it is much easier with the engine out of the motor. Do some research get the parts before hand. I was very impressed with my swap it was much much faster than the d series, however, it would be cheaper easierto just find another d series so keep that in mind as well. Oh and you might have a hard time with the throttle cable I had to change the length of mine but I didnt need a new one. An intake also might be necessary they didnt send a full intake on my b series. Hope this helps good luck with the swap.
