I have a 96 EX 5 speed that the transmission went out of. I bought an older DX tranny, it works, but I have lost about 100 miles per tank of gas!!!!! I was thinking about buying a motor and trans out of a wreck, but I don't know what years will work. Help me out guys. I have found a 2002 complete really cheap.

As far as I know, any D series tranny will fit, but my guess is that because the gearing for the Dx is taller, your odometer is just saying that you are losing mileage. The Dx tranny is geared with economy in mind so you should be getting better mileage.
