im starting a project car buh im in a jiffy. i have an ek ready for an engine swap buh with so many options i cant choose. my goal is to reach appox. 300 whp and approx. 200wtp. ive looked at the k20, h22a, b18, and b20. wut is the best solution because i want to turbocharge it also.

ive read some posts and narrowed it down to the k20 or h22. ive even looked at k24 buh will that fit. and which engine will give me more horses and torque in the end

 

Get the RSX Type R engine with it's 6 speed tranny.

First off, there is no "RSX Type-R." Nice try. Let someone who has swapped engines before handle it.

If you want to crack 300 horsepower and still have decent reliability, a K20 is the way to go. Cams, intake, header and exhaust will net around 240 horsepower to the wheels. You can decide where you want to go from there. If you want to throw a 55 shot on there, I think the stock internals should handle it. There you go, you're at (if not close) to 300 horsepower at the wheels. Just make sure you read up on nitrous so you know what it does and how to use it properly.

 

RSX type S motor is sweet. You could build it and prolly get damn near 300 hp. However, theyre expensive. Why do u want 300 hp though? Just so you can say u have 300 hp? Why not just get a B16 swap, and keep it stock, you could boost that safely at 7PSI and have a damn quick car. Probaly low 13s to high 12's. And THAT IS fast. More power doesnt always mean faster. A boosted b16 will do u just fine. K20s are sweet, and they are good for boost.......but theyre pricey. Se7en knows that by now lol.

 

im not fond of nitrous. would turbo be a better option. to reach my goal? i want to beat my friends sti.
