RE: "super" chips?
its a resistor that is placed in the iat sensor socket and it sends a certain voltage back to the computer that reads the air temperature at 40* F or so.... at least this is the information i have gathered.... its very pointless to actually do this...

RE: "super" chips?
Yes you are right it tells the ecu that the air is cooler than what it is which in turn sends more fuel because the cooler the air the more dense it is. you not only dont get any hp gains with this but your gas mileage begins to suffer.

RE: "super" chips?
So it's not actually the "chip" that goes into the air intake as karlos0221 stated above?
|
RE: "super" chips?
the iat is a sensor in the air intake system, it reads the incoming air temperature
|
RE: "super" chips?
NO not actually innnn the air intake it self....its where one of the electrical wires goes into the pipe, and then some how, u have to put it in there...

RE: "super" chips?
ORIGINAL: karlos0221 he said if he put it in, which it would have been in the air intake, it would have messed up the numbers on the ecu so its a no go most likely ORIGINAL: karlos0221 NO not actually innnn the air intake it self....its where one of the electrical wires goes into the pipe, and then some how, u have to put it in there... |
