honestly the best thing you can do for anywhere near that price is get a set of lightweight wheels and racing tires. the lighter the wheels are, the less rotational mass there is, and the easier it is for your engine to get them going faster. look into rota slipstreams. the 15x6.5's weigh 11 pounds each and cost about 350-400 a set.

You can remove some weight for free. You have to remember, that the less weight in the car, the faster you will accelerate at a given power. You're brakes will also seem to work better, and cornering will improve.

Then get a $20 ebay short ram intake and stick and AEM dryflow filter on it

And get a $350 catback.

And then get a small N2O kit.

Actually now that I see you have a Y7 automatic I say your first 2 mods need to be a Y8 or aftermarket intake manifold and a 96-00 ex 5 speed transmission swap.

a y8 transmission would be your best bet.

btw...IHE doesnt make you accel or decel that much faster or slower, it just seems that way because throttle response is increased. personally, i wouldnt jump for intake or a catback right now. like i said, a good set of wheels to reduce rotational mass, and a y8 transmission to get the short gears.

btw the reason i say performance tires is because its hard to find regular street tires in the kind of profile you'd need for 15" or 16" wheels.

Agreed with this statement. At least don't get an intake without getting the Y8 manifold. You'll regret getting a Y7 intake because it won't fit on the better Y8 manifold.
