Default 97 civic DX

I want to keep my stock engine, I`ve been reading bout building the D-Series motor up, does anyone know what kind of power I would get by bolting a 1.6 head on? Does anyone know of another method?

blowncobalt? shoulda bought a honda. anyways, get outta here bro! what youre goin around doin here on the forum is childish and shows you have no life.

yerry. you mean the y8 head right, off of the civic ex. i think the dx has like 105 or so hp, and the y8 head will get you up to around 130.
1.6 is describing the engines displacement.

type in mini me swap in the search thaangy. and read up, youll see lots of stuff on this. [sm=smiley20.gif] good luck.

if you want to build your d series go with the z6 head and internals with a port n polish and the y8 intake manifold and a cai.

true, you could go with a y8 head, but what kind of power are you looking for?? I run a 99 dx hatch back, i have only 112 hp. I will look to increase it by doing a swap, possibley to the b16 or the better b18..

i`m lookin to get into the 13`s...I know it`s possible with the D-Series motors, and also less expensive...anyone know a site where i could look at the combinations and the power it would produce..

boosting is your best bet to make the most out of your d and the cheapest way. and THIS is a good site to ask questions about your car! i dont know too much but a lot of people here really know a lot and will help if you ask.
