Default 99 civic ex

i am new to the honda crowd but i just bought a 99 civic ex and want to make it fast and do it right but dont know were to start what would be the best mods? head swap, turbo kit, or what? any thoughts would be great!

start with the basic: intake, header, and exhaust

After that then go for the head and stuff like that.

well which head i am thinking an si head but there might be a better option out there? and i dont want really ricer exhaust i want a goog sound, good tone and not to loud. any ideas?

unless you do a d16z6 head swap... which is completely pointless on a 99 EX. [8D]

yeah, it'll lower the compression, maybe a good option for turbo though.

screw that... get the edelbrock turbo kit for the d16y8. It'll get you a CAI, exhaust header, garrett GT28RS turbo and all you'd need to do is get a high flow cat and a 2.5" catback exhaust like the RS*R Exmag.

Edelbrock dyno'd 178 to the wheels with their turbo kit on an otherwise stock y8.
