B18C1 with boost.

i stay away from Ds if you're going to build and boost because they dont have the torque the Bs have and less aftermarket
stay far away from a B16B with a turbo or supercharger
B16 doesnt have the torque of a B18

thenagain 250-300whp is attainable through all those engines on mild boost and build and a good tune.

WELL I CANT REALLY AFFORD THE BOOSTED B18C, SO IF BOOSTING IT WOULD BE THE B18. HOPEFULLY WITH SLEEVES AND RODS/PISTONS AND WHAT EVER ELSE I HAVE CHANGE ($$$) FOR. B18C WITH CAMS AND ALL THE OTHER INTAKE EXHUAST CRAP SHOUDS KINDA GOOD TO, IT WOULD HAVE THE A SMALL TUNE ON IT TOO.

you have 4000 bucks but you dont have the money to boost a GSR? ok a GSR costs 2.7, mounts are 400, axles are 200, and a turbo you peice together yourself is around a grand. im sure you could do it if you could pull a couple extra hundred.

WELL I'M NOT EXACTLLY SURE ABOUT A $1000 TURBO BUILD! THIS GUY COURTNEY TELLS ME THAT THIS SO CALLED "JUNK YARD TURBO SETUPS" ARE SO RISKY. WHEN YOU MEASURE THE BOOST PRESSURE COMING OUT OF THE EXHUAST (OR SOMETHING) IT FLUCTUATES QUIT A BIT. HENCE, WHY GUYS ARE BLOWING THEIR MOTORS, EVEN WITH A GOOD TUNE.

im not a big fan of B16s anyway.

and a junkyard setup will be fine if you can find good, ligitimate parts and get a good tune.

ps 1000 dollars is for parts on ebay, not from a junkyard.

I'm with EF. If you wanna put down 300HP, build the D series up. Get new rods, pistons, and maybe sleeves. Get a turbo and turn it up as high as you can. It should be in budget especially since you already have the motor. You can save a bunch of money if you do the work yourself.
