i am not saying that autos are the best ( don't get me wrong) but autos can still hold there own. just as long as you have an aftermarket torque converter and you have a tranny oil cooler and change the tranny fluid regularly and don't try to put ridiculous amounts of power down like 3 & 400 horsepower down it would be ok

RE: Auto D16Y8

Do they not make shift kits for auto hondas? And to all of you out there saying that autos are slow, you guys must never watch real cars race. Go to the strip and the fastest thing out there is going to be an automatic BY CHOICE. They are faster if you put in a good shift kit. If they dont make shift kits for hondas then yeah, a manual will be faster, but in a car with a shift kit the only thing a manual can do is hope to shift as fast as the auto. Autos just release a gear and bam... next gear. Manual has potential for misshifts plus the lag time in between shifts.

In short... Its not that autos are slower, its just that there arent any good shift kits made for them nor can honda trannies take much power.
