B-18 Block
Wut's up. My name is Mark and I'm new to the site. I drive an 98 CX Hatch and currently building a motor and
I have a couple of questions. I bought a b-18 block from an 88 acura integra and was wondering if a head off an 98 gsr would fit the 88 block? Any suggestions or comment would be appreciated. |
RE: B-18 Block
Yes it will it is refered to as a LS/VTEC. I suggest you do not go this route unless you know what you are doing.

RE: B-18 Block
Wut's the problem about an LS/V-Tech swap?

RE: B-18 Block
Ok
1st you need aftermarket rod bolts 2nd you need to plumb the block for the oil passage to engauge vtec 3rd you need a ecu chipped to tune with or you need aem ems. 4th you need a transmission with shorter gears to take advantage of a all motor setup. I suggest you just get a nice set of pistons, rods, rod bolts, head studs and cams then boost with a turbo kit. |
RE: B-18 Block
ding ding ding we have a winnerrrr^^^ if you are gonna do the ls/vtec frankenstein then have some help you who has done one before...

RE: B-18 Block
88 tegs didnt come with B18s. SO either you have the wrong code or there is a diff angine in the 88 teg. DO you know exactly what engine you have or did some1 just tell you it was a B18?

RE: B-18 Block
Yea, i think the b18 came in like the 93-up integras.

RE: B-18 Block
b18a strted in 90-93 tegs, and b18b was in 94-01. before that it was a dohc version of a d16.
