are you really willing to go through the headache of putting a SiR in a 3G? you would be better off selling the car and buying a new one.

alright man what the hell is 3G? i'm somewhat new to this... all i know is that my local tuner shop freaked out on my car and that it would be an awesome sleeper... i trust these guys because they helped me find parts for my car that regular parts stores couldn't even get ahold of... they didn't rip me off either... and it's only massive trouble if i wasn't raised in a family of mechanics.. hahahaha

3g is a 3rd generation civic. i think that swap is super worth it. a civic under 2000 pounds with about 140whp is a killer setup. www.hasport.comis the only site i know that sells them. but a 4th generation obd0 b16a swap (88-91) is the one you want, its obd0 and has a cable transmission, and i say spned the extra few hundred and get the lsd tranny.

is your car an si model? if its not fuel injected the swap to fuel injection is difficult and lots of wires

you can get the entire engine tranny wire harness ecu all together. thats the best way imo, but its more money to save all at once.

b18a - 1.8 liter non vtec 130hp obd0
b18b - 1.8 liter non vtec 140hp i think this one is only obd1 and obd2
b17 - gsr engine 1.7 liter vtec had 160-170hp, very rare
b16a - civic si, civic sir, del sol vtec engine. 150-160hp. obd0-obd2 vtec engine
b18c1 - gsr engine 1.8 liter vtec 170hp
b18c - jdm type r - 1.8 liter 197hp
b16b - civic type r engine 1.6 vtec 185hp
b18c5 - usdm type r 1.8 vtec 195hp
b20b or z - these are non vtec 2.0 liter engines non vtec and about 140hp. they are basically an overbored b18b, have good torque tho.

all these are swapable into your chassis with that mount kit, but hood clearance might be a problem with some. but the cheapest ones are the b18a and b because they are the most common. type r swaps can cost 3-7000 bucks

okay you are saying B18 but from what the shop dealers were telling me i wouldn't be able to do it... it wouldn't fit... they told me i'd have to have the frame redone and have my doors reinstalled further back!! hahahaha i've got money but i don't have THAT kind of money...

I doubt it. I'm running without powersteering on my B16A swapped 95 CX and it drives fine.
