B18B. B16 is the most over-rated engine. Did ya look into the GSR or the H22?

Another vote for the B18B, much better starting place than the B16

ok so how can you build a b18b? The b16 has soo many options.

What kind of mods can you put on a b18b besides i/h/e ? i'm talking about pistons, cams, intake manifold, tb, ect.

On the b18b, you can do forged internals, valves, springs, cams, there's alot of options for it too. As a matter of fact, I've got eagle h-beams and weisco pistons, I think skunk double valve springs for mine.

You can do anything to a b18b that you can do to a b16 but there is not as big a selection of cams for it. With p30(jdm b16) pistons you will raise compression from the stock 9.2/1 to 11/1 with a stock 3 layer head gasket which will make wy for a good set of cams.
