The B-series is a horribly overrated (with a few exceptions. A few being the B18C5.) engine series that every fanboi throws in his car.

As far as the H being a hard engine to install in an EG/EK chassis, that kind of goes against everything I've read and heard from people that have done the swap. The general consensus seems to be that they're fairly straightforward to install: get the proper mounts/axles, bent a frame rail or two out of the way a fraction of an inch, cut a hole for the shifter cable (assuming you're even keeping the H transmission), drop the engine/trans in the car, and run a few wires. If you want a good engine, look at the K-series.

Besides, this thread has been dead for a while.

B16a2 turbo > H22.

My 2 cents.
If your looking for more power/fun, why would you swap a h22 in??
Your not looking at too much more power, but a turbo on the other hand :P

Pretty much. The only way I'd bother with a b16 is if it were already in the car (which in the case of the original thread topic, it is). But even that's iffy. Everyone and their mom has a boosted b16 these days.

i love my b16a for the great top end it has but the torque suks, i was thinking on putting a b18c1 block under it to give it a little more umph on take off, anything after 5k to 9k is where my power is at.
