Default B16a2 swap help

Hey guys

I am looking into buying a full B16a2 (poor man's engine I know...ha) swap for my 99EX.
What head swaps or internal work can be done to pick up some hp besides IHE since I am looking foward to boostin it at a reasonable psi.
Another engine a better route? Perferably in the B series but I gotta keep this one a daily driver and with some AC (its hot out here in Cali!)
Love that VTEC kickin in though for sure!

First of all, a B16 is not a poor man's engine by any means, so don't be so hard on yourself.

Secondly, for roughly the amount of money you would need to reliably prep a B16 for daily driven FI, you could do a GSR swap, which is better suited due to the larger displacement/lower CR. Plus, you get more initial hp and torque.

yeah I see what your saying Kappa22 but man who doesnt love that psssh! from a turbo. If I decided to go the GSR route, what changes would need to be done have the engine sit right in the car? you know like axles and ecu and stuff... Hey great find NTX! yeah just under or at 2g's is what I think I would spend on an engine at this point until I can save some more and boost within some months

i havent really looked araound a lot. i checked craigslist because i if i find anything, i wont need to add shipping (plus if you find a cali motor, the smog will be less of a hassle). ebay is a good place to look if you can find things nearby.
