b17a in a 00 civic hatch

Default b17a in a 00 civic hatch

is it a good idea to put a b17a in2 a 00 civichatch??..any one done this swap b4?? just wondering if any knew about the b17, cus i heard its a rare motor..and i can get a block(suppose 2 b built)+tranny for cheap($300)...is it any good o would i be better off getting ab16/b18c/b20

from what I hear they're kind ofa bitch to find parts for. Other than that and a possible lack of conversoin/swap info, I think it'd be a solid motor.

it's the same as swapping a B16 and all parts from a B16 will fit. All it is is a B16 with a slightly longer stroke.

you would need to get a hydro trans instead of the cable trans it's likely to come with. And OBD2 parts if you need to pass inspection
