I just hate the redline of these engines, it scares the hell out of me.

yes, you need (as far as I know) dowl pins, oil lines to run outside the block for VTEC and some machining of the head for vtec. Plus I'd get the crank balanced cause she red lines at 6700 rpm.

basbal are you really not happy with your GSR motor??

keep in mind guys that the b20 is not meant to rev as high. I mean a gsr motor redlines at what? 8200 or something versus the 6700 of the b20. So vtec kicks in for like maybe 1000 rpm before it's time to shift...if you want the b20 to take advantage of the vtec head, your going to have to do some work to allow it to rev like the other b series motors do.

no dont me wrong i love my gsr, but i was just sayin cause the people told me that the b20 with a gsr head is a sick combination and that its alot more cheaper to work on than a b18c and they have a little more potential since they have a bigger displacement , but i didnt realize that the b20 redlined at only 6700. not only that but i can get the b20 for like 740, balance the cramkshaft, new rods and pistons for like 1800 and thats half of the gsr, but i dunno im just throwin ideas out there. im just askin some questions if i do go ahead and do the conversion?
