RE: best engine to fit
Well your b18's are 1.8 litre and b16a's are 1.6 litre, meaning the b18 will have more torque. Both are pretty good for boosting, but stay away from the B18C5, high stock compression not good for boost. The B18C1 GSR is a great idea to swap, will cost more then a b16a.

it all depends on what you are going to do with the engine in the future. you can never go wrong with a b series motor if you are going to turbo. the b16a2 is a great motor to turbo, but the b18c is better is you are going to stay n/a. there is also the k20a if you want to stay n/a but that takes a lot of money and work. h22s are good as well if you want to stay n/a. the b18bs are good if you want to turbo as well.

RE: best engine to fit
dmotor parts go with d motors, b parts with be motors and so on. it is hard to find a b18c5 but a gsr or si motor will do fine. k20 would be lots of fun but it would cost you a finger and a few toes maybe.

the b16 will fit directly from the d16, im not sure if you even need to move your mounts. (i dont think you do, but im not %100) but other than that, you need all b series stuff (ecu, harness, tranny,) all that good stuff.
