i put a b18c1 in my 95 coupe, and with the motor still pretty much stock, i hit a 14.8@95.9mph. if i launched better, i could get that down a tenth or two, but i havent been to the strip in quite a while. and your car is a lot lighter than mine.

For the money though how can you beat a b18b with a b16 tranny....what do you people think?

DOHC ZC is going to be the easiest/cheapest option, and will basically double the power of a base hatch. LS is probably the next best option (considering price and power), but the install requires a lot more secondary parts and money. But for the best power/weight option, it's still going to be the GSR engine (or Type R if you've got tons of money). Stay away from H22's. They're a pain in the *** with 4G's.

the BEST swap would be a k20, #1: 6spd tranny is nice, #2: alot o power right away, BUT very expensive to get and to mod
but the best Cost affordable swap would be a b-series, easy to mod, lot o upgrades and stuff is just getting cheaper as the time passes,
any way you look at it a swap is gonna cost you some change, and you really can't go wrong w/ any of the popular swap

Actually, the most affordable swap is still the ZC, since it's a DIRECT drop in (sans MPFI). Remember, we're talking about an EF hatch here, not an EG. And no, a K20 wouldn't be the best. At this point, it would be damn near impossible to find parts/people to do it, and you don't even want to try it yourself unless you know your s**t. But if you're going to play it that route, the best swap would be an F20C/F22C... or maybe a C32A... But seriously, just because it has the most power doesn't make it the best swap.

ZC would be your best choice, the LS (b18b) would have the same power as a ZC and more torque and is sometimes cheaper, but it takes more work. the gsr is a great engine but prolly wouldnt be my first choice for this car jsut because 1) three changed mounts 2) chassis balance 3) structural integrity of the car. id go ZC...but thats just me

Don't use the LS ECU... it won't hook up to a 4G ZC. Use the 88-89 Integra 5-Speed. It has the most agressive fuel mapping.
