I was thinking in to buying some slightly bigger fuel injectors for my 93 civic. I just want some thing new, that will give me a little better throttle respone. I dont want to go too big, I just want the new injectors to compliment some of the other mods on my engine. What is the size of stock injectors on a 93 civic ex 1.6 in CC's? Also, how big should I go, and what brand?

Depends on what you have on the engine.

 

Here's the list of the mods that will be on the engine by spring. Can you please tell me what size injectors, and what brand I should get.

AEM Cold Air Intake
Holley 68mm TB
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor Spark Plug Wires
MSD Blaster 2 Coil, and MSD Super Cap
AEM or OBX Fuel Rail
Venom 400 Performance Control Module
DC Sports Ceramic Header
Zigen Stainless Steel Cat Back Exhaust
AEM or JDM Cam Gear
Increase Compression Ratio 10:1

 

go with some 97+ prelude injectors. they are 280cc as compared to the stock 240s. its not a lot bigger, but you dont need too much for those mods.

Would the prelude injectors fit right in to the AEM fuel rail for the 93 civic, and would they work with skunk2 intake manifold? In other words, would they just pop in and hook up with out any other mods?

im 95% sure they will. i know the mitsu injectors people use a lot, need a little bit of modification, but its nothing major. but yeah, for high compression NA, go with prelude injectors. but they have to be 97+ because you need saturated ones, not peak and hold.

 

I take it that the stock fuel pump will be able to keep up no problem?

with the 280s, yeah, no problem, though you will want an adj. fuel pressure regulator to get the full benefit of your mods.

 

Ok, sounds good, but at how many pounds should I run the rugulator? Any good brands?
