could someone explain boring, forging, and sleeving?

Boring and sleeving I can make an educated guess on, but I won't cause I don't want to give you bad info. Forging, however, is a process in makeing the material in which, rather than putting it into a mold, they basically whack the pieces of metal into the shape they want (think blacksmithing) which changes the makeup of the metal and allows for it to be harder overall.
