Default Car is hiccuping

I have no idea what is going on. But the best way I can describe it is by saying the car feels like it is hiccuping. It doesn't do it in first gear, but does in all the other gears.

When I go to accelerate, the car "hiccups" and throws me forward because of loss of power. As soon as its done hiccuping, it regains power like normal.

It is worse at lower RPM's.

Also when this happens, brown smoke comes out of my exhaust!

What is going on?

definitely time for a tune up

spark plugs, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter (unless aftermarket... then clean it if it needs to be)

Well I replaced the spark plugs about 20,000 miles ago.
I used the NGK iridium. So those should be ok for a while longer.

There is no CEL. But I'm taking it by a shop tomorrow to see if they can tell me what's wrong with it.

And I can deff replace the things you guys mentioned, I hope that fixes the problem.

Do the basics yourself before taking her to the shop. Start simple by inspecting the spark plugs.

So I let the car cool down and sit for a few hours. then took it bak out. i just got back. The car ran great. I started off running her pretty soft, then even after I gave it a lot of juice it still never did the hiccup thing. I drove it for a good 25 mins too. kinda weird =/
