HI, i drve a 96 civic 160i Luxline 3-door. I dont know any engine model numbers and so on. I do know its a SOHC though. Im new to this and in south africa we dont have HX/LD/DX and whatever else. Its just 150i/160i and V-Tec. Please can someone provide me with this information. Thank You

well first off welcome to the site. if you look on the engine by the left side of the headers there should be the engine number. It should say either like (D16Y8, D16Y7, D16Z6) or some thing like that.

And even in Cape Town.
I haven't physically checked my engine code but from the info I've gathered I think mine('98 Civic Luxline 3door) is a
D16Y7(D series 1600cc SOHC non-vtec) and therefore I think yours is too.
