Civic wont Start PLEASE HELP

I have a D15 in my car right now Im saving for a B18a but I need to get a few more parts and need my civic running again. It was running like poop after I put the ignition module in the distributor but it was still running. Heres the story I was driving home from work with the same old sputtering crap I have been dealing with ever since I did my head gasket. It sounds like it is out of time but I had a garage do the timing as I dont have a timing light and still it ran like crap. I came up to a stop light and it started puttering more than it has before, I could barely keep it running. I tried starting it and it putters like its about to start but doesnt and also makes a weird sound like something is grinding right at the end but it still turns over.

Now I need this car for work so that I can save the last little bit before I can afford my b18. I really need help so any suggestions you could offer would be helpful.

Thank you for your time,
Tyler

RE: Civic wont Start PLEASE HELP

Worst case scenario, I'd say bent valve(s) or a burnt out main bearing. Bent valves are more likely, since you recently had the head off.
