Crappy Australian Models
Hi my first post here, i'm from Australia and I want to buy a civic in the near future. My trouble is that I really want a four door sedan, however
in australia in the only four door sedan is a model called the GLi which has a D17Z1 engine.
SOHC
Maximum torque 150Nm @ 4500rpm
Maximum power 88kW @ 6200rpm
Ok so this is a non-vtec engine and i've heard things about it not being very powerful at all. My question is, with a few engine mods could I give
this engine a bit of zip? I want an everyday driver, but maybe later on I will put a turbo on it (much, much later on). So will a new intake and
exhaust system give this engine enough go? I don't particularly want to do an engine swap.
